Tamara Perrine, DPT, OCS

Tammy Perrine received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania in May 2001. She is a specialist in orthopedics, sports and manual therapy. She became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2005. In addition, she is an athletic trainer a certified mat pilates instructor from the Physicalmind Institute and an advanced kinesio taping specialist.

Tammy began her career with a Bachelors of Science in athletic training and exercise science from Ithaca College, NY. There she worked with all types of athletes. Her interest in sports medicine grew from a young life filled with activities such as dance, gymnastics, soccer, basketball, and skiing. She competed as a collegiate athlete in lacrosse, earning Academic All-American honors. She has also dabbled in triathlons and presently is passionate about mountain biking and racing.
Presently she is a clinician at Comprehensive Therapy Services treating orthopedic injuries, performing bike fittings, orthotics fabrication and works independently as a clinician, pilates instructor, and personal trainer at Zoom Fitness and Pilates Studio. In 2007 she instructed a 6 months course: Orthopedic Review for the Fitness Professional.

Since becoming a licensed physical therapist in 2001 she has focused her practice in treating and preventing musculoskeletal dysfunction, utilizing a hands-on manual therapy approach, in conjunction with biomechanical analysis, exercise, and education. She has the desire to help others better understand their injuries or potential for injury, so they may take an active role in their own musculoskeletal health and be able to live an active lifestyle.
