Prenatal and Postpartum




PRENATAL

Our exercises programs are designed to assist pregnant women in improving comfort and developing body awareness while preparing for childbirth. Mothers are encouraged to enjoy their changing shape, strengthen key muscles and develop good breathing habits. The gentle flowing motion of exercises will stretch, condition and relax the whole body, while relieving any discomfort your changing body might have.

POSTPARTUM

Now that you have given birth to a beautiful baby, your body will change once again. Breastfeeding may keep your ligaments lax while your body is undertaking the new stresses of caring for your precious little one. We incorporate gentle manual techniques to stabilize your spine and joints. We work to alleviate pain or dysfunction you may be having from delivery trauma, i.e. a painful episiotomy scar, organ prolapse or incontinence. Our therapists will help you strengthen your core, back and pelvic floor and teach you proper body mechanics in caring for your little one.
